Psychotherapy fee: $150. Sliding scale available.

Yuri is a graduate of the Smith College School for Social Work with a clinical focus in psychodynamic theory. Born in Myanmar, Yuri integrates perspectives and approaches to health, community, and joy from the places she has lived and worked, including Thailand, the U.K., and traditionally BIPOC communities on the East Coast.

As an outpatient therapist for children, adolescents, and families at a community mental health center, Yuri focused on and received training in treatments addressing family relationships, mood and anxiety challenges, attachment issues, developmental stages, life transitions, and trauma. She holds deep respect for the strengths and capacity in each person to grow individually and to create community, and approaches clients with a relational, accepting, and holistic approach.

In addition to her psychotherapy experience, Yuri has worked on participatory action research projects that focused on collective trauma and created a peer mentorship program modeled off the Alma program for postpartum parents. Yuri also co-founded and led a college and career access program for youth who are first-generation college students, and wove evidence-based social and emotional learning throughout the program. Yuri’s commitment to self-care includes: Connecting and exploring with her daughters and partner, snuggling the world’s best dog, hosting parties, listening to live music, being in nature, reading, and sleeping!
