She, Her, Hers

Individual Psychotherapy fee: $150; Couples fee: $170

Nicki is a Licensed Social Worker with a wealth of experience in maternal and child health. While completing a dual master’s program in Social Work and Public Health at the University of Minnesota, Nicki worked in Namibia as a Medical Social Worker in the maternity unit. She provided therapy to mothers and families processing infant loss and postpartum distress. After graduating, Nicki participated in a public health fellowship in India evaluating the effectiveness of a mobile fetal heart rate monitor. These findings led to more awareness of alternative birthing options within rural hospitals. Before joining the PFWC, Nicki worked with families as a Clinical Case Manager helping children and parents achieve mental and physical wellness, stability, and an overall sense of purpose.

Nicki is often described as approachable, authentic, and compassionate. These traits lend to her ability to meet clients where they are and help them feel empowered to achieve wellness in their lives. She approaches her work with clients from a psychodynamic and attachment theory perspective and incorporates other modalities such as CBT and Mindfulness when appropriate.

Nicki’s commitment to self-care includes: spending time with her partner and daughter, practicing yoga, traveling to new places, enjoying a page-turning book, and sharing delicious meals with loved ones.
