The PWCB is committed to its collaborative work in the community. Outside of our center and through the Margaret L. Shaw Institute for Perinatal Mental Health (Shaw Institute), our clinicians engage in important efforts at raising awareness, screening and referral, and training. The on-going health and wellness of children, parents, and families is our top priority and we strive to collaborate with our community in its efforts to support families.
ObGyn AND MIDWIFE Clinic Partnerships:
Our interns and clinicians spend time at several ObGyn and midwife clinics providing 4-week postpartum mental health checks to all of their patients. The goal of these wellness checks is to assess for PMADS, encourage support, and provide community resources. At these clinics, our providers also collaborate with physicians, midwives, nurses, and medical staff to ensure best practice care around mental health support for all patients.
